Director's Choice

2nd Friday of every month at 9:00am for coffee. Discussion starts at 9:30am. June 11th. Crazy for the Storm by Norman Ollestad tells the story of the author's survival, at the age of 11, from an airplane crash that killed his father and the pilot. It also tells the story of the author's tumultous relationship with his risk taking, adventure seeking father. Books are available at Borrowers Services. New members always welcome.

Branch Storytimes

Please note all Branch storytimes will be held on Friday mornings.

Ages 2-5 with parent/caregiver Early literacy fun is not limited to the Main Library. The Bayshore, Lincroft and Navesink Branches each hold a weekly storytime featuring picture books and a craft. Branch storytimes are an opportunity to join your neighbors in sharing the joy of reading.

Knit with Joan

Every Tuesday at 12:30 pm, you are invited to join an informal knitting circle led by volunteer and expert knitter Joan Corby.

No prior experience necessary - if you have never knitted, bring a skein of dark-colored synthetic yarn and a pair of no. 8 or no. 10 needles - Joan will get you started. If you are an expert knitter, bring a project or problem to share with the group. This spring, some members of the group are working on developing original scarf designs to share and display in the fall. Teens are invited to knit with Joan at 12:30 during the summer - teen knitting will resume in September.   More info...

Brookdale Computer Users Group meets at Middletown Township Library. Library users are invited to attend these very helpful informal workshops for free. If you are not a regular attendee, please call the Reference Desk and leave your name, so the instructors will know how many to expect.
