Teen and Tween Programs
Teen Advisory Board
Tuesday, August 18th at 3:30 pm in the Teen Room
The Teen Advisory Board is a group of teen leaders who represent the teens of their community. The group will be responsible for assisting with program development and implementation, creating a quarterly teen newsletter, and advising the teen librarian based on the needs of the teen community. Teens involved in the group will receive both community service hours and leadership experience. Email Stephanie at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to join or have any questions.
Computer Programming Club
Every other Monday at 3:30pm in the Computer Lab.
Learn to create games and activities through computer programming.
Teen American Red Cross Club
When: The third Saturday of each month from 1-2:30 pm.
Where: Community Room
This club meets to discuss future projects and events, disaster training, and other Red Cross related activities. Service and leadership hours will be available to people who decide to participate. Sign Up
American Sign Language Instruction
When: Saturdays at 10 am
Teens Sarah and Phoebe will teach American Sign Language in the group study room on Sundays. No registration necessary.
DIY Masquerade Mask
Tuesday, August 11th at 3:30pm
Create an amazing and mysterious Masquerade Mask. Wear it at the Masquerade Ball Murder Mystery on August 24th!!
When: The second and fourth Friday of each month from 3:30-4:30 pm.

Masquerade Ball Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre
Monday, August 24th at 6:30pm
Celebrate the end of the Teen Summer Reading Program with the Masquerade Ball! Dress in your finest for the event of the season! Dine in style and solve the murder. Only participants in the Summer Reading Program will receive an invitation to this prestigious event.
Free SAT, ACT and PSAT Practice Exams
Thursday, August 20th at 2pm: The New SAT vs. Old SAT
Saturday, September 26th at 9:30 am: Free NEW PSAT Practice Test
Saturday, November 14th at 9:30 am: Free NEW SAT/ACT Combo Practice Test
Take a FREE practice exam at the library. A Kaplan representative will be proctoring each exam. There is limited space available. Sign up using the online library calendar, call the library at (732) 671-3700 ext. 340, or go to Kaplan's website to register for the exam. Bring a calculator and number two pencils.
Teen Art Club
The 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 4:30-5:30pm starting September 3rd.
Bring a sketch pad and pencils and draw with us!
Pizza and Pages Book Club
The 3rd Friday of the month at 3pm starting Friday, August 21st.
Eat pizza and discuss a book. For our next meeting, bring a book you enjoyed over the summer to recommend to the group.

Teen Writing Group
Wednesdays at 3:30 pm
Love writing? Well bring your work with you to the Teen Writing Group. We will write together, listen, and give suggestions and constructive feedback. Sign up here.

Whose Library is it Anyway? Improv Workshop

Bottle Cap Magnets for Tweens and Teens

Math Tutoring K-8
Wednesdays starting August 5th at 3pm
If your child needs help with their math work, come to receive one-on-one tutoring with a high school honor student. This is a drop in program, first come first served. Tutors will be in the Quiet Reading Area of the Children's Room.
Tween Write Away
Thursdays starting July 16th at 4pm
Write your own novel or create your own picture book in this 6 week summer program. For tweens ages 9-12. Register here.
4-H Club Science, Engineering, and Technology Club
Wednesday, August 26th at 5:30pm
4-H Science, Engineering, & Technology (S.E.T.) Club of Monmouth County will hold monthly workshops which will include robotics, programming, health, community, leadership, public speaking and organizational components. Members of 4-H learn life skills in addition to engineering, design, & development to program robots, while developing critical thinking faculties. No registration required. It is suggested that participants join the 4-H but no dues are required.
Tween Knitting Club
2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 4pm. Next meetings: September 8th and 22nd
Bring your rainbow loom knitting, your regular knitting, your crocheting, and your yarn. Get together with other kids to chat and create something special!
