Teen Advisory Board
Tuesday, May 19th at 3:30 pm in the Teen Room
The Teen Advisory Board is a group of teen leaders who represent the teens of their community. The group will be responsible for assisting with program development and implementation, creating a quarterly teen newsletter, and advising the teen librarian based on the needs of the teen community. Teens involved in the group will receive both community service hours and leadership experience. Email Stephanie at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to join or have any questions.
Celadon Youth Chinese Music Ensemble
Saturday, May 23rd at 2pm
Celebrate Asian Heritage Month with the Celadon Youth Chinese Music Ensemble, a non profit organization aimed at sharing the Asian music and culture in New Jersey. They are an orchestra of middle school and high school students, each playing unique Eastern instruments. Come and enjoy a unique concert experience!
Computer Programming Club
Every other Monday at 3:30pm in the Computer Lab, starting July 6th.
Learn to create games and activities through computer programming.
Teen American Red Cross Club
When: The third Saturday of each month from 1-2:30 pm.
Where: Community Room
This club meets to discuss future projects and events, disaster training, and other Red Cross related activities. Service and leadership hours will be available to people who decide to participate. Sign Up
Teen Acoustic Night

Come enjoy the show at the Middletown Library's Teen Acoustic Night. See local teens show off their musical, comedic, and theatrical talents.

American Sign Language Instruction
When: Sundays at 1 pm until May 17th
Teens Sarah and Phoebe will teach American Sign Language in the group study room on Sundays. No registration necessary.
Finals Study Session
Thursday, June 11th from 2:45-4:45pm
Come study for your finals at the library in the community room! Come alone or bring a group, stake out your space, and study study study.
When: The second and fourth Friday of each month from 3:30-4:30 pm.

More Than Sad: Preventing Teen Suicide
Monday, June 1st at 7pm
Patricia Hannah and Kim Bradle from Barnabas Health will be conducting this free suicide prevention awareness program for youth-serving individuals and parents of teens. It will provide education about factors that put youth at risk for suicide, in particular depression and other disorders. There will be a focus on risk factors, protective factors, and warning signs. This program is for adults.
Next Chapter Book Club
Fridays at 3:30 pm in the Teen Room
The Next Chapter Book Club is a book club for young adults with developmental disabilities. We will meet for one hour each week for a 14 week session. We will read aloud a book as a group, discuss it, and have social activities each week. To register, call the Children's Desk at (732) 671-3700 ext. 340.

Take a FREE practice exam at the library. A Kaplan representative will be proctoring each exam. There is limited space available. Sign up using the online library calendar, call the library at (732) 671-3700 ext. 340, or go to Kaplan's website to register for the exam. Bring a calculator and number two pencils.

Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program
Tuesdays April 21st-June 9th from 4:00-5:30 pm
Participate in an 8 week workshop to develop communication and leadership skills through practical experience. Upon completion of the program, you will receive a certificate which you can then put on your resume for college or career. 4-H Club Science, Engineering, and Technology Club
Wednesday, May 27th at 5:30pm
4-H Science, Engineering, & Technology (S.E.T.) Club of Monmouth County will hold monthly workshops which will include robotics, programming, health, community, leadership, public speaking and organizational components. Members of 4-H learn life skills in addition to engineering, design, & development to program robots, while developing critical thinking faculties. No registration required. It is suggested that participants join the 4-H but no dues are required.
Wii Zumba Fitness Class
Thursdays at 3:30 pm starting May 14th
