The Homebound Services Program provides Middletown residents with the opportunity to access library resources when medical/physical limitations restrict their ability to visit the library. Each homebound resident will be paired with a “buddy” who has volunteered to deliver library materials to the resident and return the materials when they are due.
If you are interested in applying for this program, please fill out the application below or library at 732-671-3700 ext. 328. You should also complete the survey below to assist library staff in selecting appropriate materials based on your interests - titles, authors, genres, and formats. With this service, residents will have access to regular books, large print books, audio books, and music CDs. Volunteers will deliver pre-selected materials to the resident and will be responsible for returning items by their due date.
Homebound Resident library cards will not accumulate late fees. Homebound Resident library cards will be limited to 5 items per checkout. All items will circulate for 2 weeks.
If you are interested in becoming a "buddy" volunteer for this program, please call 732-671-3700 ext. 328.
