MUSEUM PASSES AT MIDDLETOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY

Check out a museum pass just like you would a book to visit several area museums & gardens providing opportunities for learning, leisure, cultural enrichment & fun. Users are responsible for checking the museum's website for the most current information. Go here for a list of free museums in NJ that don't require passes.

Our List of Museums:

Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia, PA: Each pass admits 2 adults & 5 kids in same household.

Battleship New Jersey, Camden, NJ: Each pass admits 2 adults & 3 children. 2 passes

The Frick Collection, NYC: Each pass admits 1 adult. 2 passes

Garden State Discovery, Cherry Hill, NJ: Each pass admits 6 people.

Grounds for Sculpture, Hamilton, NJ: Each pass admits 4 people. 1 pass

Guggenheim Museum, NYC: Each pass admits 4 adults & any kids under 12. Pass has reciprocal privileges at other museums. Check their website for details.

Independence Seaport, Philadelphia, PA: Each pass admits 2 adults & 4 kids.

Insectropolis Bug Museum, Toms River, NJ: Each pass admits 2. 2 passes

NJ State Parks: Pass permits free parking to the bearer visiting state parts/forests.

Lehigh Valley Zoo: Each pass admits 3 adults and 6 kids.

Liberty Hall Museum on Kean University Campus, Elizabeth, NJ: Each pass admits 2 adults & 2 kids.

Monmouth Museum, Lincroft, NJ: One pass admits two adults and two children.

Montclair Art Museum, Montclair, NJ: Each pass admits 2 adults & all minor children of same household.

Morris Museum, Morristown, NJ: Each pass admits 2 adults & up to 3 kids. 1 pass

U.S.S. Intrepid, NYC: Each pass admits 6 people. Must show MTPL library card. 1 pass

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Center, Medford, NJ: Each pass admits 2 adults & 3 kids.

Yogi Berra Museum, Montclair State University Campus, Montclair, NJ: Each pass admits 2 adults & 2 kids.

American Museum of Natural History, NYC: Single-use tickets are available at the cost of $10 each (our cost). Tickets from the museum are normally priced at $27 for adults & $16 for kids. All purchases are final. Additionally, each ticket is also good for admission to your choice of: 1 special exhibition: IMAX film or Planetarium show.

Jenkinson's Aquarium, Point Pleasant, NJ: Single-use tickets are available at the cost of $5 each (our cost). Tickets from the museum are normally priced at $11/adults & $7/kids. All purchases are final.

MUSEUM PASSES FAQ


Who can check out a museum pass?

All Middletown Public Library cardholders, in good standing, are eligible to check out one museum pass per card.

Where can I pick up a museum pass?

Museum passes must be picked up & returned only at Circulation.

Can I reserve a museum pass for pick-up?

No. Passes are on a first come, first served basis. The passes cannot be renewed or placed on hold.

Where can I return a museum pass?

Museum passes must be returned to the Circulation desk. Please hand the plastic case directly to a staff member & be sure that the museum pass is returned with the case. If returned in the book drop, a $10 fee will be added to your account.

How long can I keep a museum pass?

A museum pass may be checked out for 3 days.

What if I don't return the pass on time?

A late fee of $5/day will apply with a maximum late fine of $50. After 10 days late, the full replacement cost of the pass will be charged to user's account. There will be a $5 fee for lost/damaged case &/or lanyard. Replacement fee for each museum pass varies, depending on the museum.
