READING BUDDIES-Drop In

Jenkinson's Aquarium                 OUTRAGEOUS REPTILES-How are alligators, snakes, and turtles related? We will learn the characteristics of all reptiles and the differences in their lifestyles. Once again Jenkinson’s Aquarium will wow us with their presentation of live reptiles- a small alligator, a snake, a turtle, and maybe some other reptile that wants to come visit us at the library for the afternoon! For ages 4 and up.

Pre-registration is required. Free tickets will be available starting Monday, July 25th. Tickets are for one show only.

Teens and tweens: register now for this self-portait collage program taught by Middletown Arts Center artist, Laurie Ruggeri. Bring a photo of yourself to incorporate in the collage. Laurie always makes her classes fun while you make a cool piece of art starring you. Community room from 4-5:30. Sign up online or at the reference desk.

Teens and tweens can join the manga club for the third annual manga con held here at the libray from 6-8:00 p.m.. There will be games, food and fun. Costumes are optional but please register either online or at the reference desk.

Teddy Bear Picnic

MTPL’s first ever multi-site program, the Teddy Bear Picnic will take place at more than one branch of the Middletown Township Public Library. See flyers or ask at the Children’s Desk for more information on which branches are participating and how to register at the locations of your choice. Bring your lunch and your teddy bear for stories, activities, and fun.

TRAVEL THE WORLD @ MTPL

 

Explore other places & cultures without  baggage fees or jet lag. Each week we’ll visit a different part of the globe and experience stories, games & other activities enjoyed by four & five year olds in that part of the world.

High school students must register to take this free, fully proctored practice PSAT test administered by Kaplan Testing Center from 9:30-1:00 in the computer lab. The practice test will contain the same types of questions and take the same amount of time as the real test. Your results will be mailed to you. It's a good way to see what is expected so you can be better prepared. Register online or at the reference desk.

Teens and tweens are invited to our "make it and take it" craft session from 11-12:00. Crafts will include jewelry making, message in a bottle, barretts, friendship bracelets and keepsake boxes. No registration required and all are welcome. Community room.
