Summer Movies @ the library!

Beat the summer heat in our newly renovated (and air-conditioned!) community room, and enjoy the movie theater experience at your local library with our upgraded sound and projection system!

On Thursday July 28, we'll be offering two screenings of Black Swan, a 2010 psychological thriller directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Natalie Portman. The film revolves around a production of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake ballet. Natalie Portman won the Academy Award for Best Actress, and the film was also nominated for Best Picture and Best Director.

Please note: this film is rated R, and only adults will be admitted to the screenings.

The film will be shown twice at 2pm and again at 6:30pm.

Teens and tweens are welcome to come and play steal bingo in our teen zone. This is regular bingo with a twist! First, you play regular bingo with the winner of each round choosing a small wrapped gift (provided by the library). Play continues until all the wrapped items are claimed. After that, the steal round begins! The winner of each round gets to pick their prize from the ones already one-STEAL! It's all in good fun. All are welcome. Bo registration necessary.

Storytime@the Library BranchesPlease note that all Branch storytimes will be held on Friday mornings. Ages 2-5 with parent/caregiver. Early literacy fun is not limited to the Main Library. The Bayshore, Lincroft and Navesink Branches each hold a weekly storytime featuring picture books and a craft. Branch storytimes are an opportunity to join your neighbors in sharing the joy of reading.
