Friends of the Middletown Library

The Friends of the Middletown Library donated $3,650 to the Middletown Library at their July meeting. The money will be used to fund library programs through the rest of the year and to purchase two Museum Passes. The Friends chose to sponsor a renewal of the Guggenheim Museum pass and to purchase a new pass to the Battleship NJ Museum and Memorial. About the generous donation, Library Director Kim Rinaldi said, "The Friends are a group of highly dedicated individuals who are working very hard to raise money for programming and special services such as the museum passes. The Middletown community is lucky to have such a strong organization supporting and advocating for their library." The Friends meet monthly in the library's Community Room. Information about joining the Friends can be found on the Middletown Library's website at

Director & Senator - National Library Week 2014.jpg

Middletown Township Public Library is celebrating National Library Week, April 13-19. On April 16, we were fortunate enough to have a special visitor, Senator Joseph M. Kyrillos, N.J. State Senate, 13th Legislative District. After reading a story to children and their parents at our Mother Goose program, Senator Kyrillos was given a guided tour by Middletown Library Director, Kim Rinaldi. Here’s what he had to say about the value of libraries.

“Libraries are not just centers for information and education. They are also a community gathering place. I’m grateful to promote libraries during National Library Week. I want to encourage residents to check out their local libraries to see all that they have to offer. “
