NOTICE TO BIDDERS is hereby given that sealed Bids are invited and will be received as set for herein.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:  Inspection, maintenance and repair of HVAC and Carrier Comfort Network Control System

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:
Contract Documents may be obtained only from:
  Middletown Township Public Library, 55 New Monmouth Road, Middletown, New Jersey  07748.
QUESTIONS:
No oral interpretation shall be made to any bidder as to the meaning of any of the Contract Documents nor be effective to modify any of the provisions of the Contract Documents.
  All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Owner and received by the Owner by mail, email and/or facsimile at least 5 business days before the established date for bid opening. 
Site may be visited M-F 9am-5pm or by appointment.

BID SECURITY:
Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000).
CONSENT OF SURETY:                       
Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents.
BID SUBMISSION PROCEDURES:
Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of the project, the name and address of the Bidder and date and time of the Bid Opening.
  Bid must be delivered to the OWNERS office at the address listed above, prior to the Bid Openings.  Bids will not be accepted after 10:00am March 9, 2016.

STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS:
Bidders are required to comply with applicable statutory requirements set forth in the Contract Documents including the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127(NJCA 17:27) (Affirmative Action) and of P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wage).
REJECTION OF BIDS:
Middletown Township Public Library reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of Middletown Township Public Library and the fairness of the bidding process.  Right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents.

The library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to the winter storm and poor road conditions. No items will be due these days and no fines will be assessed. Please stay off the roads if you can and stay safe.
